Autometa / FAQ
Everything people ask about Autometa CRM.
Autometa CRM is an AI-native CRM that runs sales, marketing, support, HR and operations from one system of record, so every part of it works on the same records, permissions and AI.
Autometa CRM at a glance
What is Autometa CRM?
Autometa CRM is an AI-native CRM that runs sales, marketing, support, HR and operations from one system of record. It combines dynamic custom objects, sales pipelines and forecasting, a shared inbox for email, WhatsApp, calls and social media DMs, ad lead tracking, email and WhatsApp campaigns, landing pages and forms, no-code workflow automation, an AI agent, and attendance, leave and payroll. It is made by Autometa, a software studio in India, and has a Free plan for up to 3 users.
Who is Autometa CRM built for?
Autometa CRM is built for startups and small and mid-sized businesses that would rather run one system than stitch together a stack of tools: sales-led teams, agencies, clinics and academies, property firms, field teams, and any business that sells over WhatsApp, email and social media. It scales from a founder on the Free plan to organizations with unlimited users and records on Max, and it fits Indian businesses especially well, with pricing in rupees, the WhatsApp Business API built in and primary data hosting in India.
Can Autometa CRM replace the other tools my team pays for?
For most growing businesses, yes. Beyond the core CRM, Autometa CRM includes the jobs usually bought as separate tools: a shared inbox for email, WhatsApp and social DMs, bulk email and WhatsApp campaigns, landing pages and web forms, workflow automation, cloud calling with transcripts, quotes, invoices and e-signature, a knowledge-base chatbot, project boards, and attendance, leave and payroll. Every module shares one database, so the AI agent, reports and automations see the whole customer and the whole team. Which modules you get depends on the plan, and the pricing page lists every one.
How is Autometa CRM different from HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho?
Established CRMs typically split sales, marketing, service and HR across separate hubs, clouds or apps, each priced and configured on its own. Autometa CRM runs them as modules of one AI-native product on one data model, so a WhatsApp reply, an ad-sourced lead, a payroll run and a deal forecast live in the same workspace, and the AI agent works across all of it. Pricing is per seat in rupees, with a Free plan for up to 3 users and no platform fees or per-record charges, and objects, workflows and forms are configured in the app without code.
Who makes Autometa CRM?
Autometa CRM is built by Autometa, an India-based software studio founded in 2026 that makes AI-native, real-time products. Autometa also makes Synkly, a watch-party and multiplayer gaming app. Every release is published on the Autometa changelog.
AI agents and automation
What does AI-native mean in Autometa CRM?
AI is built into the records, inbox and workflows instead of sitting in a separate chat panel. In Autometa CRM you can search the pipeline in plain English, get follow-up drafts written from the real call log and thread history, see leads scored Hot, Warm or Cold from your own win signals, get call transcripts with sentiment and key takeaways, and add AI steps to any workflow. Suggestions show the evidence behind them, and anything that leaves the building waits for a person to approve it.
What can the Autometa CRM AI agent do?
The Autometa CRM agent, built on LangGraph, turns a plain-English request into a plan and carries it out with CRM tools: searching records, updating fields, creating tasks, drafting emails and WhatsApp messages, and scoring or enriching leads. Ask it to find deals stuck in Negotiation for 30 days and draft check-ins, and it runs the query, reviews the results and prepares the drafts, showing each step. It also watches for account signals such as role changes, funding rounds, usage swings and renewal dates, and drafts the outreach for you to approve. The agent is included in the Pro and Max plans.
Is it safe to let an AI agent act on our CRM data?
Yes, because the Autometa CRM agent is designed around human approval. Anything that changes records in bulk or reaches a customer, such as sending messages, reassigning owners or moving stages en masse, pauses until a person approves the exact plan and the records it touches. The agent can only see what the person invoking it can see under your role-based permissions, every workflow run is logged step by step, and your data is never used to train AI models.
Does Autometa use our CRM data to train AI models?
No. Your customer records, notes and emails are never used to train any AI model, ours or a provider’s. We hold zero-data-retention terms with some of our model providers and use others under their standard commercial API terms. Every provider is named on our Sub-processors page, and the detail is in Section 6 of our Privacy Policy.
Can I search Autometa CRM in plain English?
Yes. Type a question such as “show SaaS leads over $15k inactive for 10 days” and Autometa CRM turns it into a live smart filter against your real fields, in this case industry, deal value and last activity. The result is an ordinary filter you can inspect, adjust and save, so there is no unexplained answer to trust and no report to build by hand.
What can I automate in Autometa CRM without code?
The visual workflow builder starts a run when a record is created, a field changes, a form is submitted, a message arrives or a date passes. Conditions branch it, delays pace it, and 16+ actions finish it: sending email or WhatsApp, updating fields, assigning owners, creating tasks, moving stages, firing signed webhooks, starting other workflows, or asking AI to draft, score or decide. Every workflow can be test-run on a real record, every run is traced node by node with retries, failure alerts and loop detection, and a workflow can be published once and reused across teams and pipelines. Workflows are included in the Pro and Max plans.
Dynamic objects and customization
What are dynamic objects in Autometa CRM?
Dynamic objects are record types you define yourself, next to leads, contacts and deals: listings and viewings for a property firm, projects and retainers for an agency, appointments and treatment plans for a clinic. Each object can use 12+ field types, including formulas, rollups, lookup relations, currency, multi-selects and auto-generated IDs. Custom objects work wherever the built-in ones do, in pipelines, dashboards, filters, workflows and the AI agent, so the CRM holds the real shape of the business instead of pushing it into spreadsheets.
Will adding custom objects and fields clutter or break the interface?
No. Autometa CRM is schema-driven: record pages, lists, filters and forms are generated from the objects and fields you define, so the interface adapts as your data model grows. You can keep adding fields and fill in every one of them, and the layout stays clean and usable, without a developer, a page builder or a consultant.
Can I set up my own pipelines, stages and permissions?
Yes. Autometa CRM runs a separate pipeline for each product line, team or process, each with its own stages, win probabilities and deal-rot limits, and weighted forecasts update on their own. Access is just as configurable: custom roles, team hierarchies and permissions down to individual objects and fields decide who sees and edits what, and the same rules govern the AI agent and API keys.
Do I need a developer or a consultant to set up Autometa CRM?
No. Objects, fields, pipelines and forms, and on the plans that include them workflows, campaigns and landing pages, are all configured in the Autometa CRM app without code. You can launch your first pipeline in under two minutes on the Free plan. When you do want engineering, there is a REST API with scoped keys and HMAC-signed webhooks.
Sales, marketing, social media and ads
What sales features does Autometa CRM include?
Autometa CRM covers the whole sales motion: drag-and-drop Kanban pipelines with custom stages, win probabilities, weighted forecasts and rot alerts for deals that go quiet; predictive lead scoring; public booking pages with round-robin scheduling and automatic Google Meet or Zoom links; products, quotes and invoices with built-in e-signature; tasks and project boards; and dashboards with 8+ chart types, including conversion funnels, pipeline velocity, rep leaderboards and cohort trends. Calendar scheduling, quotes and invoices, e-signature and advanced reports are part of the Max plan.
Can Autometa CRM track which ads bring in customers?
Yes. Leads from Meta ads on Facebook and Instagram and from LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms arrive in Autometa CRM with their source attached, alongside the leads captured on your own landing pages and forms. Each ad-sourced lead can then be followed from the first click to closed-won revenue, so reports show which campaigns and channels produce pipeline and revenue rather than just clicks, and workflows can route and follow up on leads by campaign.
Can I send email and WhatsApp campaigns from Autometa CRM?
Yes. Bulk email and WhatsApp broadcast sequences run against live CRM segments, with scheduling, A/B testing and unsubscribe handling, and WhatsApp runs on the official WhatsApp Business Platform through Meta’s Cloud API. The AI campaign builder drafts a multi-channel campaign from a one-line brief, and replies route straight back into the shared inbox, so every response becomes a tracked conversation. Campaigns are included in the Pro and Max plans.
Can I build landing pages and lead capture forms in Autometa CRM?
Yes. Autometa CRM hosts campaign landing pages on your own white-labeled domain, and its form builder makes embeddable multi-step forms with conditional logic and auto-responders. Every submission creates a structured CRM lead and can start a workflow immediately, for example assigning the lead round-robin and tasking the owner to call within 15 minutes. Forms are on every plan; hosted landing pages and custom domains are part of the Max plan.
Inbox, calling and support
Which channels does the Autometa CRM shared inbox support?
The Autometa CRM shared inbox covers two-way Gmail and Microsoft 365 email with open tracking and scheduled sends, the official WhatsApp Business API with templates, quick replies and multi-agent routing, in-browser cloud calling through Twilio or Exotel, and DMs and mentions from Instagram, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn and X. Every message threads under the contact and deal it belongs to, with internal notes and @mentions alongside.
Does Autometa CRM support calling and call recording?
Yes. Reps call from the browser with click-to-call through Twilio or Exotel, and calls are recorded and logged on the record automatically. Each recording is transcribed with sentiment analysis and a summary of key takeaways, so when the rep hangs up, the call log, summary and suggested next step are already on the deal. Calling is included in the Pro and Max plans.
Does Autometa CRM have an AI chatbot for customer support?
Yes. The Autometa CRM knowledge base turns your workspace documents into an embeddable chatbot that uses retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to resolve tier-one support questions on your website. The knowledge base and chatbot are part of the Max plan.
HR, attendance and operations
Does Autometa CRM include HR, attendance and payroll?
Yes. Unlike most CRMs, Autometa CRM runs people operations beside sales: geolocation attendance check-ins, shift rotations and break tracking, leave management with custom leave types, accrual rules and multi-tier approvals, and a payroll engine that applies allowances, tax deductions and bonuses with per-employee overrides. Employees use a self-serve portal to see shifts, request leave and download PDF payslips. Attendance is on every plan, and payroll is on Pro and Max.
Does Autometa CRM include task and project management?
Yes. Tasks and project sprints run on Kanban boards with backlogs, subtask checklists and dependency tracking, right next to the records they belong to. Notes support rich text, @mentions and version history, and two-way Google Drive and Dropbox sync attaches files to deals without re-uploading them.
Integrations and API
What does Autometa CRM integrate with?
Autometa CRM connects to 40+ tools, including Gmail, Outlook, WhatsApp Business, Slack, Stripe, Razorpay, Shopify, WooCommerce, Twilio, Exotel, Mailgun, Google Drive, Dropbox, Meta Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook Pages, Instagram and X. It also works with Zapier and Make, and new integrations ship every few weeks.
Does Autometa CRM have an API and webhooks?
Yes. The Autometa CRM REST API uses scoped keys that follow the same role-based permissions as people, and each key can be audited and revoked on its own. Outbound webhooks fire from any record event or workflow step, are HMAC-signed so your endpoint can verify them, retry with exponential backoff when your service is down, and keep a per-endpoint delivery log.
Reliability, security and data
How does Autometa CRM stay reliable as we grow?
Heavy work never blocks the app: in Autometa CRM, bulk imports, campaign sends, payroll runs and large automation batches run on background job queues with retries and progress tracking, so a 40,000-row import does not freeze anyone’s screen. Webhooks retry with exponential backoff and keep a delivery log, workflow runs are traced step by step with failure alerts, and every screen updates in real time without a refresh. Service status and incident history are published on the Autometa status page.
How does Autometa CRM protect our data?
Autometa CRM encrypts data in transit with enforced TLS and HSTS, stores passwords as bcrypt hashes, and encrypts integration credentials, tokens and two-factor secrets with AES-256-GCM before they reach the database. Every table is partitioned by organization for tenant isolation. Access is controlled with role-based permissions down to individual fields, optional enforced two-factor authentication, IP allow-listing, session revocation and an audit log of administrative actions, with SSO and SCIM provisioning on the Max plan.
Where is Autometa CRM data stored?
Autometa CRM’s primary infrastructure is in India, and files, call recordings and exports are stored in Amazon S3 in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region. Some sub-processors, notably AI, email and error-monitoring providers, process data outside India, and each one is named with its purpose and region on the sub-processors page. Autometa operates under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and offers a Data Processing Addendum for customers subject to the GDPR.
Can I export my data from Autometa CRM?
Yes. You can export your customer data at any time with the export features in Autometa CRM, and if you leave, your data stays available for export for 30 days before the workspace is deleted.
Pricing, trial and migration
How much does Autometa CRM cost?
Autometa CRM has a Free plan for up to 3 users. The paid plans, Pro for teams of up to 15 users and Max for unlimited users and records, are priced per seat in Indian rupees on prepaid 6-month or annual terms, with 10% off a 6-month term and 20% off an annual one. There are no platform fees and no per-record charges, and prices exclude GST. Current per-seat prices and every module by plan are on the pricing page.
Is there a free trial of Autometa CRM?
Yes. Every new workspace can try the Pro plan free for 15 days with no credit card, and the Free plan stays free forever for up to 3 users, so you can start small and upgrade only when the team needs more.
How is billing calculated?
Autometa CRM is billed per seat on a prepaid 6-month or annual term, with the term discount applied upfront. There are no platform fees, no surprise tier penalties and no per-record charges.
What counts as a seat?
Every active user account in your workspace counts as a seat. You can invite team members up to your purchased limit, and reassign seats at any time.
Can I upgrade or downgrade plans anytime?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated credits for any unused time on your current cycle. Downgrades take effect at the end of your prepaid term.
Will Autometa CRM work for my team size?
Yes. A founder can run on the Free plan with up to 3 users, growing teams move to Pro with up to 15, and Max has no limit on users or records. Seats, roles, team hierarchies and permissions adapt to your structure, and seats can be reassigned at any time.
Can I migrate to Autometa CRM from spreadsheets or another CRM?
Yes. The Autometa CRM import wizard takes CSV and JSON files with automatic field mapping, duplicate detection and tag assignment, and large imports run in the background without blocking the team. Direct connectors cover common CRMs, and our team can help larger accounts migrate in a day. Data migration and CSV imports are part of the Max plan.

Does Autometa CRM include social media management?
Yes. The Autometa CRM social media command center brings direct messages and mentions from Instagram, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn and X (Twitter) into the same shared inbox as email and WhatsApp. Each conversation is threaded to a contact, assigned to an owner and answered from one place, so a prospect who found you on Instagram gets the same speed and follow-up as an inbound email, and the full history sits on their CRM record.
